CQ Communications, Inc., publishers of CQ Amateur Radio magazine and sponsor of the CQ World Wide DX and WPX Contests, announced today that in light of the invasion of Ukraine by Russia and Belarus, it will not accept competitive entries in any of its sponsored contests by amateur radio stations in Russia, Belarus or the separatist Donbas region of Ukraine (unofficial D1 prefix). Logs submitted by these stations will be accepted only as checklogs. In addition, contacts with these stations by other participants will have zero point value and will not count as multipliers.
  This is in line with a similar action taken by the Radio Society of Great Britain, following the lead of other international sports federations around the world.
“We regret the need to take this action,” said CQ Publisher Richard Ross, K2MGA, “and recognize that the vast majority of our fellow amateurs who are affected by it are innocent bystanders who had no role in their government’s decision to invade another sovereign country. However, in light of the great suffering being inflicted without cause on the people of Ukraine by Russia’s leaders, we cannot in good conscience stand by and do nothing.”
  The CQ policy will take effect with the 2022 CQ WPX SSB Contest on March 26 and 27. Future events will be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending on the situation at that time.

8P     - Dick, G3RWL  will be active again as  8P6DR from  Barbados (NA-021)
         from 10 March to 4 April.  He will operate CW only on 80-10 metres,
         and will participate in this weekend's Commonwealth (BERU) Contest.

  The normal stance of amateur radio is that it is apolitical. However, it is clear that recent actions by the Russian Federation and their military have crossed a line and the RSGB cannot in this instance remain neutral.
   The policy of the RSGB is that we will follow the actions of the mainstream sporting bodies with regard to all activities of a competitive nature such as contests and ARDF. Russian and Belarusian radio amateurs are therefore currently ineligible to participate in any event that is organised/sponsored by the RSGB.
   The policy of the RSGB in commercial activities is that we will refrain from trade with Russia and Belarus until further notice.

3A     - Gianpi, IK1TTD, will be active as  3A/IK1TTD  from Monaco on  25-27
         March, with main activity during the CQ WW WPX SSB Contest. QSL via

4S     - Peter, 4S7KKG (DC0KK) and  Wolfgang, 4S7DRG (DK9DR)  will visit the
         former Deutsche Welle relay station near Trincomalee on  2-9 March.
         "The station is now operated by the Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corpora-
         tion (SLBC)", Peter says, and  "we will have the unique opportunity
         to use the large shortwave antennas between  7 and 21 Mhz  for ama-
         teur radio during transmission breaks". They will also have "a 104m
         high mast medium wave antenna for testing on the low bands".  Plans
         are to focus on SSB and FT8.

5X     - Alan, G3XAQ will be active again as 5X1XA from  Kampala, Uganda  on
         7-14 March.  He will operate  CW only on  80-10 metres,  with  main
         activity during the RSGB Commonwealth (BERU) Contest. QSL direct to

Змагання проводяться на місцях в два тури та різні дати за календарем:
Перший тур: в перший повний вікенд березня з 14:00 UTC суботи до 13:59 UTC неділі. (в 2022 році 5 - 6 березня).
Другий тур: в перший повний вікенд травня з 14:00 UTC суботи до 13:59 UTC неділі (в 2022 році 7 - 8 травня).
Види модуляції: CW, SSB, FM
Діапазони: від 144 МГц до 250 ГГц
