DL - The Berlin Airlift was an operation that carried supplies by plane to the Allied sectors of West Berlin over a Russian blockade. For more than a year, hundreds of American, British and French cargo planes ferried provisions to West Berlin's Tempelhof, Gatow and Tegel airfields. Commemorating the 75th anniversary of the end of the Berlin Airlift, three special event stations will be active between 12 May and 24 June: DL0GWW for Gatow, DL0TXL for Tegel, and DL0THF for Tempelhof. EA - Depending on weather and seas conditions, a three-man team (Henry EA5EOR, Ilde EA5HEU, and Christian EA3NT) will be active as EG5MI from Penyeta del Moro (EU-151) on 25 May. They will place a wooden platform on the rocks on 24 May at about 16 UTC, and return on 25 May at about 4 UTC, hoping to be QRV as soon as possible. "We don't discard to start same Friday 24th evening with a very lightweight setup (one car battery)", Christian says, "and run for a couple of hours to try to get advantage of the greyline and give a chance to the West Coast". Most likely they will be QRV on 20, 17, 40 and 6m CW, SSB and FT8. If he gets enough subscribers to his YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/@EA3NT), Christian will try and broadcast live the landing attempt. Penyeta del Moro is a rocky islet of almost 2 metres in width and 6 metres in length; an iron lighthouse of about 5m in height was placed there in 1861. QSL via EA5GL.
F - Members of the Association des radioamateurs de l'Indre will be active as TM36JO on 27 May, as the Paris 2024 Olympic Torch Relay passes through their Department, and again from 29 July to 11 August during the Olympic Games. QSL via the bureau, or direct to F5OHM.
GI - Commemorating the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings (6 June 1944), the Rushyhill Radio Society (MN0UGP) will be active as GB8DDY between 1 and 28 June. A certificate will be available, but QSL cards will not be provided - see https://www.qrz.com/db/GB8DDY for information.
I - Members of ARI Trapani (IQ9TP) will be active as II9IKF on 20-26 May for the 16th edition of the International Kite Festival at San Vito Lo Capo. QSL via the bureau, LoTW and eQSL.
LA - Michael, DF8AN will be active from Hinnoya Island (EU-033) on 16-17 May and again on 25-26 May, and from Vestvagoy Island (EU-076) on 17-25 May. He operates CW and digital modes on the HF bands, and hopefully on 6 and 2 metres. QSL via home call, direct or bureau. [TNX The Daily DX]
